For people at risk of homelessness, SSI Emergency Housing Assistance (EHA) can offer an immediate short-term placement, with no bond, and with the possibility of an extension.
People requiring EHA can be referred from other organisations, with ongoing case management provided by the referring party.
Alternatively, a fee-for-service arrangement can be negotiated, giving the service partner great flexibility in responding to their clients’ needs.
EHA is a unique homelessness service providing one, two or three bedroom furnished properties – a welcome and more affordable alternative to motel rooms or serviced apartments. It collaborates with over 60 referring organisations and supports more than 130 people per month at risk of homelessness .
Although requests are increasing each month, EHA is able to meet the growing demand through other properties within the SSI Housing portfolio.
